My art is rooted in the rhythms and beauty of the natural world. Expansive, moody Midwestern skies, textured terrain, and the drama of shifting seasons are continual sources of inspiration. I am drawn to the interplay of texture, symmetry, and non-traditional materials—elements that mirror nature’s ability to be both chaotic and composed, wild and stilL. I love experimenting with mixed media: acrylic paint, ink, water-based pigments, pastels, charcoal, and pencil. Through the fusion of these materials combined with traditional and contemporary approaches to landscape painting, I hope to inspire viewers to see something new in nature.
In an increasingly manufactured and distracting world, i hope that my art inspires you to embrace and be grounded in the constant peace and beauty that nature provides.
